The Submaires-Symphonika

So I went to the Ra Ra Riot concert at the Belly Up in San Diego this past Thursday. Super awesome venue and a great show. I really liked one of their opening bands, The Submarines. The chica was so ridiculously cute on stage. She had a xylophone with tin foil stars hanging from it. Plus one for style points!

Plants and Animals - Lightshow

Just discovered these guys. Canadian band, been around for a bit and I'm really liking what I'm hearing. Check out the title track The End of That if you dig this.

Islands - Renaud

Odd little tune, but I can't help tapping my foot. Their new album is decent, check out Hallways.

Ignore the brobible stuff because that's stupid... Unless you're Mike Behounek, then I guess for some reason it's ok. Either way this is a chill little piece of work from Hoodie Allen. If you haven't heard of him yet, you should check out his other offerings. This isn't one of his better knowns. Enjoy the hell out of today, it's Friday.

Dr Dog - Shadow People

This guy is pretty bizarre, but he puts out some great music. This song also references Baltimore, so it's a winner in my book.

Sleigh Bells - Comeback Kid

Their new album is out and is a pretty darn good follow up to Treats. I wanted to post the song Crush as well, but I can't find it anywhere! Keep an eye out, it's worth it.

First Aid Kit - Lion's Roar

I think they are becoming popular? Are popular? Are a girl band? Not sure, but I keep seeing the name.
